The Client

Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) provides public health services to the communities of Central Coast Council. Located between Sydney and the Hunter Valley, the Central Coast is a popular coastal region attracting young families and retirees. The region experiences a higher than average population growth, particularly in the Wyong Shire.

The region is served by two acute hospitals – Gosford and Wyong. Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and regional trauma centre for the Central Coast, Wyong Hospital is a major metropolitan hospital. Woy Woy Hospital and Long Jetty Healthcare Centre provide sub-acute care. Additionally, there are eight community health centres and other community-based services.

The Challenge

In October 2016, CCLHD was looking for a software solution that could manage various types of assessment forms (MiniCEX, DOPS, CBD, 360 Multi-score Feedback, In-Training Assessments) for their Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) requirement from the Australian Medical Council (AMC). The solution they required needed to be user-friendly and easy to use by junior doctors and assessors. There were some other additional requirements included that the administration team were able to design and create forms, define workflows/blueprints and have emails automatically sent when assessments were due.

The Solution

We presented our H.Prime software. We then added several other customisations for their WBA assessments for AMC. Based on 10+ years of experience working with hospitals and GP training, we developed H.Prime 2, specifically for WBA and PGY 1/2/3+.

  • The MiniCEX, DOPS, CBD, 360 Multi-score Feedback, In-Training assessments forms for Junior Doctors and Supervisors are pre-built in H.Prime which can save you hours of work, time and costs.
  • H.Prime provides a Dynamic Forms Module which gives your hospital administration the freedom to design and create your own forms for assessment purposes.
  • H.Prime also lets you manage events by automated invitation, attendance records and also statistical reports on events.
  • H.Prime also lets you create bulk rotation and blueprints for your hospital in few clicks.

CCLHD has been using H.Prime not only for WBA assessments but for News, Events, Resource Sharing and Email Communication. We have further enhanced the assessment workflows and added several features at their request to more effectively match their needs.
